How to Edit a User

Introduction

This article guides you through the process of editing a user in Truvid's platform, a straightforward task for managing user credentials, contact details, and permissions based on their current roles.

Steps to Edit a User

  1. Navigate to the Users Item: Start by clicking on your avatar icon (your profile initials or picture) in the top-right corner of the Truvid dashboard and click it. This will open a menu, where you can manage your Profile, Settings, Users, Billing, and more.

  2. Click on Users: Find and select 'Users'. Here, you will see all existing users.

  3. Select User: In the list of users that appear on the 'Users' page, select the user you want to edit.

  4. Edit User: This will open a side panel to edit and configure settings for the selected user.

  5. Edit User Details: In the side panel, make the necessary changes to the required fields:

    • First Name: Edit the first name of the user.

    • Last Name: Edit the last name of the user.

    • Email: Update the email address for the user.

    • Country: Update the user's country from the dropdown menu.

    • Language: Change the preferred language for the user.

    • Permission: Modify the permissions assigned to the user (e.g., Content Editor).

  6. Toggle User Status: Use the toggle switch at the top right to set the user as 'Active' or 'Inactive'.

  7. Save Changes: After editing all necessary settings, click 'Update' to save the changes.
